Contrary to what tammy says about yangtze, it is not even the best chinese
restaurant in lexington, let alone boston. The food is mediocre and
the waiters terse. Every time I order something it lacks flavor and
freshness. The food is overly greasy and the vegetable always soggy.
The staple of so many restaurants, General Gau's Chicken, is never
crisp and tender. If you happen to be looking for the best chinese food
in boston, go to jumbo seafood in chinatown.

This is, by far, the BEST Chinese restaurant in Boston. Believe
me, I have been to many, many Chinese restaurants before, and
I know this is the BEST! Go there if you haven't! The service,
the price, and the food is great!!!!!!!!!

I have probably gone to this restaurant more than any other over
my life. I grew up in Waltham and for years Yangtze River was a weekly
affair: my mother and I would go there while my father had golf
or raquetball. Now I have to admit they have a lot on the menu we
haven't tried, but that's because our favorites are so wonderful:
Spicy Twice-Cooked Pork, Beef with Broccoli, and Hunan Sliced
Jumbo Shrimp for entrees, and Peking Ravioli as an appetizer.
Of course this is far too much for 2 people but we always wanted
the leftovers.

Excellent authentic chinese cuisine. Great food, profesional
service and middle of the road prices.
As a Chinese person I highly recommend this restaurant.
