We went to the restaurant for dinner in late August. We were surprised
to find it so empty, but decided to stay. We are glad we did. The food was
unusual and delicious, from not spicy at all to very, very hot, depending
on your request.
I had a spinach dosa instead of curry, and it was wonderful. So was the
naan, and the rice pudding was one of the best I've had.The samosas
were tasty and crunchy. The pakoras were also fresh, crisp, and not
at all tough or greasy, which is often the case.
The service was very gracious and friendly. The portions were very
adequate for a meal, which is all anyone can ask. It seems that people
are somewhat spoiled and feel entitled to take home half for a second
meal, especially in Asian/Indian restaurants.
The decor is somewhat dated and a bit odd, but I wasn't buying furniture,
so I did not care.
I definitely recommend the restaurant, and I have been eating and cooking
Indian food for 20 years, so this review is well-informed.

The grocery store part of the restaurant sells only expired food. I
found stuff expired in 9/02 (its currently 3/06). The manager of the
restauarant apparently ran off to India and so there is no management
to look things over, restock, get rid of expired items.

Not my first choice for Indian, but not horrid either. The prices
are high for the extra small portions. But the food is good. Waitstaff
is quite slow.

first of all, the service was terrible. the food we got, palak
and potatoes, was terrible. i really didn't care for the
dessert either. what a mistake to go here. a bigger mistake was
going there a second time, to "try" it out again and
got tandoori chicken. blah... yeah, think twice...

The service was abominably slow, and when we finally got our food
over an hour later the portions were appetizer size. Many people
left in frustration with the poor service, and obviously we would
have been better off to do the same.

Good food if you order off the men. I would avoid the buffet at lunch,
it's ofter dried up and half empty. The food on the menu is flavorful
and generous. The breads are very good and fresh. The drink and
dessert selection is great. Even when it is slow be prepared to
wait for your order, although the staff is polite.

the food here tastes very good, the waitstaff: courteous and
attentive, yet the sevice takes forever. when the food finally
arrived i don't know how much the flavor mattered, as i probably
would have eaten nearly anything at that point. perhaps the kitchen
needed more help when i ate there. anyhoo, i could eat the vegetable
samosas all day. overall, a good indian restaurant.
