You can find oriental dishes, pasta, mexican, and traditional fare. It's not "fusion" because they don't mix flavors that don't go together, they just have a wide range of items. Everything is fresh, made on the premises, and the quality is always excellent. Their desserts are also exceptional.

Highly recommended breakfast, brunch & lunch cafe. Family owned, single store front location. Part cafe, part bakery, part restaurant. Don't worry it works! Inside you can sit next to the shelves stocked with the delicacies. Outside you can sit at sidewalk tables to watch Marin county village life pass by. 9 years ago I became acquainted with Comforts when my employees would bring pot-luck items like the Chinese chicken salad, ambrosia, or terrines to office parties. I was always impressed by the outstanding quality. Comforts had no dine-in back then. You read the paper while you wait for your food. Service is not too swift, but you forgive them that because the food is top notch. This is about the best healthy, fresh tasting brunch you're going to find in central Marin county. Check out the web site, ... more

It's hard to categorize comforts. On one hand, it's like a deli-with a counter for takeout. But the take out food consists of things like their justifably famous chinese chicken salad, teryaki salmon, and other upscale entrees and side dishses. Everything is superb. You can eat there (they even have cafe tables outside), or you can take out anything. While not inexpensive, it is a good value, and it's a great place to get a quick, but high-quality meal in Marin.
