Excellent surprise in downtown Decatur near the courthouse.
This small restaurant will consistently surprise you with its
fine well prepared dishes. I would reccomend a glass of their
house wine. If you are feeling indulgent, try their pate plate
or another appetizer.

For a small restaurant with limited seating the fare and selection
are OUTSTANDING! I have eaten here for both lunch and dinner and
highly reccomend it! They have good selection of excelellently
prepared entres along with interesting appetizers including
pate. The house wine makes an excellent companion to the meal.

Located in downtown Decatur, this small restaurant is an extremely
pleasant surprise. Their soups and appetizers are outstanding
as well as their entres. I enjoy spluging once in a while and order
their pate platter to share. Their entres are outstanding and
a great bargain. Their house wines go well with their meal.

If this meal were served elsewhere, you would pay considerably
more. Service is good. Parking is the usual downtown Decatur
as busy times require searching.

I very much enjoyed my dining experience at Cafe Alsace. I had
the fillet de Saumon, which was excellent. The salmon was cooked
to perfection and the sauce it was served with complimented the
natural flavor of the salmon very nicely.
The salmon was served with green beans tossed with minced garlic
and a wonderful side of mashed potatoes.
The only complaint I had was that the wine list was a little short.

This was the most amazing dining experience I have ever had. My girlfriend had the Salmon and I had the Crepe du jour. The Salmon melted in your mouth and was served with seasoned white rice. It was not fishey or too salty. The crepe du jour was Chicken cor don bleu wrapped in a lite thin crepe. {just like mom used to make} If you are in the mood for a spectacular French meal prepared by real French nationals then you must visit Cafe Alsace.
It is located to the left of Starbucks on E ponce de Leon Ave. in downtown Decatur. It closes at 3pm but reopens for dinner at 6pm and is available for private parties.
