It's actually 90 Rantoul Street, and the phone number listed must have belonged to the previous owners because it's currently disconnected. Anyway, we just moved to this neighborhood and thought it would be nice to visit a place so close to home. What a tremendous and overpriced disappointment! Rantoul Street has several mid-rise apartment buildings, with more upscale condos under construction on the same block as this restaurant. If the new management of the Goat Hill Grille wants to cater to this affluent neighborhood clientele, it needs to get its act together FAST! We have NEVER seen such disorganization in a restaurant before. The waitstaff seems young and inexperienced. They actually didn't have enough menus to go around, so we just guessed at what they might have and ordered on that basis. "Um, got any steak? OK, well, how about pasta?" When the menus finally showed up long after we placed our order, we cringed at the prices that we hadn't seen in advance. A soda had to be sent back to the bar because the fountain dispenser ran out of syrup and the drink tasted nasty. Two orders of the same mixed drink seemed to have been made by different bartenders because they weren't prepared the same way at all. My steak, ordered medium-rare, was so overcooked that it looked as if it had been microwaved. They ran out of bread and promised to bring some to our table as soon as it was ready. We observed the waitresses bringing bread to other diners later on, but by that time, we had finished our entrees and they didn't bother to offer any to us. The only redeeming moment of this dreadful culinary experience was dessert. They stock a really nice brand of vanilla ice cream and the Tiramisu was surprisingly delicious. I'd like to think the place is just going through growing pains, but I don't intend to waste another dime of my money to find out whether I'm right or not. less
