Before I comment, the address and phone number of this listing are wrong.
It's actually 90 Rantoul Street, and the phone number listed must
have belonged to the previous owners because it's currently disconnected.
Anyway, we just moved to this neighborhood and thought it would be nice
to visit a place so close to home. What a tremendous and overpriced disappointment!
Rantoul Street has several mid-rise apartment buildings, with more
upscale condos under construction on the same block as this restaurant.
If the new management of the Goat Hill Grille wants to cater to this affluent
neighborhood clientele, it needs to get its act together FAST!
We have NEVER seen such disorganization in a restaurant before. The
waitstaff seems young and inexperienced. They actually didn't
have enough menus to go around, so we just guessed at what they might
have and ordered on that basis. "Um, got any steak? OK, well, how
about pasta?" When the menus finally showed up ...

This WAS a great place. However, the "goat" was sold a few
months back. It re-opened a few weeks ago.
The "new" goat in not improved. It's just plain awful.
The food is a shell of what is used to be. I got the steak tips. They were
over-cooked, nothing like they used to be, and $4 more than last year.
My wfe got an overpriced filet. It sounded good when read of the menu,
but after one bite, wow, plain bad. No taste. This new chef ever heard
of salt and pepper? One of the greatest things about the goat in the past
was the free dinner side salads. They were alway fresh, never an afterthought.
Now the cost an extra $3 and made fron week old greens.
We will NEVER go back.

The goat used to be my fav. place. It closed for a few months, and re-opend
last week.
I was real excited, until I ate at the "new" Goat. They have
a new chef, and the food is just plain awful! The menu has completly changed.
It now looks like the 99 menu. I had the steak tips and was very dissapointed.
Not as good and much more expensive. In fact, everything at the "new"
goat is more expensive than before. The drink prices are out of control.
I'll never go back.

A true diamond in the rough, my favorites include the steak tips and
the black angus burger, but the fish and chicken dishes are also excellent....
they also have a great selection of beers on tap

Good food. When you live locally it makes a great place to order
take out from. Close to home and worth the trip...
