It was excellent food, the service was good, the bread good, the portions large, and I have nothing to complain about, yet when I look at the reveiws for the other Italian restaurants in the area that get a better rating, the food does not compare, not to mention, no on has any complaints about the service here, either. Give it a try...you'll like it!

The decor is comfortable if unremarkable. The service is friendly and attentive. There is almost never a crowd. But the best part about this restaurant (as it should be) is the food. I've been there several times and they have a number of great entrees and specials, but best of all. The insalate Fresco with Gorgonzola and walnuts followed by the pizza margherite. If this isn't the best salad and pizza combo you've ever had, then I want to try the place that makes it better. I'm a cynic and particularly picky when it comes to Italian food (not impressed by Enrico's of Harbor Bay), but this place is surprisingly excellent.

I went on a Friday night (sans reservations) with a date and was immediately seated at a comfortable booth. The room was nicely lit if a bit humbly decorated. The house salad was sensational. Greens, beats, Gorgonzola and a tangy vinaigrette. Snails were served in a dish with mushrooms and tomatoes. Far more substantive and fun than the french method. Spahetti Vongole, came with clams in shell and a whole lot of garlic. Very nice. The special was breaded swordfish with a light caper sauce. The portion was beyond generous. We went home with doggie bags and no room for desert. The service was competent if uninspired.The food was damn near perfect- easily worth the roughly $15/plate they were asking. I will definitely be back.

Excellent food & nice bistro atmosphere. Occasional surprize opera singer really tops off a wonderful night out. Their desserts are fabulous so save room. Owners are friendly and service is accomodating. Nice place for dinner with your honey.

Upscale/modern ambiance w/attentive waiters. Food excellent, whether it's a pizza made to order or tender veal. Most importantly, home made desserts. Definitely worth the trip.
