Went after a Shark's game. It has been around a long time and looks it. Not good for a first date, but for a laid back evening it is fine.

I haved lived along time in San Jose, and good fun inviornment, such as a steak house are more than we care to count. I do believe that the arrival of some sharks players every now and then is cool if you can catch them there. I think the food there is a little pricey for the service and the taste of the food, and not much of a menu. the food is not really bad and in fact it has a good taste they just dont offer more variety. All in all to take a date is a nice place to start off! but to take a family with children and all that comes with children , no!

Good food, but not always standard (good sides, get the mushrooms). Small but quaint. It can be kind of scary at night though. Rumor has it that it’s a popular hang out with the sharks players.

This place used to be a good bargain, even if the steak was tough. However, no more a bargain. And the steak is unremarkable, as well as the decor. I think this place is way overrated.

Henry's offers great steaks, period. If you are looking for a sage-brush salad or a romantic atmosphere, keep on looking. There is no better place for a steak and cold beer before a Sharks game. The place is pure San Jose...real people, real food, and real enjoyable restaurant experience.

When I first moved to San Jose 10 years ago, I really enjoyed this restaurant. They have a "Wisconsin Tavern" kind of feeling, where you order your food from the bar, and then wait in the bar until it's ready, at which time they seat you. Their steak used to be good quality USDA choice, and reminded me of beef in the midwest. Not any more. The last two times I was there, (separated by 2 years) it was so bad I couldn't finish my steak. The salad was chunks of iceberg lettuce, with so much water in the salad bowl the dressing was diluted. The potatoes tasted like they had been half cooked a few days prior, and barely re-heated.The steaks had so much fat and gristle, that over 1/2 the tables were complaining, rather loudly, to an indifferent staff and management. I can't imagine ever going back.
