Today is December 18, 1997. I just returned from dinner at the French Room at the Clift Hotel. This place was recommended to me by a business accociate, and was not grossly dissappointed. The atmosphere was very nice; great crowd and live music. The food was quite good, but the service lacked a bit. I had to ask for water, and, considering the price (about $200 with two before-dinner drinks; a $30 bottle of wine; and 2 salads & main courses. A bit stiff.
