Great food here. I really enjoyed dining outside. The only problem
I had was with the service, asked for lemon and never received
it.

Great fusion cusion mix, California Cafe is a upper end chain,
with usually very good food, great wine list and friendly staff.
You really can't go wrong.

The food here is great! I've never had to return anything.
It's a little fancy in the pocket book for me, but if you've
got the change to spare I say go for it, you wont be dissapointed!

I eat at California Cafe every time I venture over to Valley
Fair, it is innovative and the service is wonderful. If you
like to try something new or done a new way, this is a good
place, a bit pricey, but with Valley Fair rent it's no wonder.

It is a good restraunt to visit if you know what you like, they have
a rather limited selection but one thing I did like about The California
Cafe is that they add their own little twist to each and every meal
that they make. I would go there again.

California Cafe offers very high quality grilled food at very
high prices. It's a good place to take business clients or for
special occasions with friends and family. All of their ingredients
are very fresh and the atmosphere is very nice, usually with live
piano music. It seems out of place to be in a shopping center, but
it sems to be doing very well.
You also can't go wrong with any of their salads.
Reservations recommended.

Been going there since the mid-eighties...I've always found
the menu fresh and exciting. If you don't find the food to your
liking/expectations...let them know...they will take the
time to appeal to your tastes.
Of course, don't expect such service during high traffic shopping
times. You'll be sitting next to a lady with her three kids on her
cell phone complaining to her nanny she's been searching all
day for a marbled calico cat soap holder and her Mercedes is still
in the shop getting the lint off the back seat so she has to drive
a rented Lexus with no CD player to play her Yanni CD she got for
free at her massage therapist in Saratoga after she had brunch
at the Plumed Horse and complained about the "help".
The sous chef is their on the weekend nights, that's when you'll
get the best food.

I really do like the food here, as it's a heck of a lot more sophisticated
than anything else in the area, but I do find it to be a bit over priced.
No free refills on coke? Give me a break. But if you like snooty
California snob type food, it's good. I love the crabcakes.
