Corny name and the steak isn't so legendary. It was average and
overpriced!

Stoney River is ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL! If you're going, make
sure to take a few people with you- the portions are VERY large;
for instance, if you order garlic mashed potatoes then you get
a whole plate of them piled high! There is usually a bit of a wait,
but nothing awful. The food is incredible! Their steaks are fabulous.
Try this restaurant, you'll love it!

While the beef is great, there's some hidden value on the menu.
If you order the sauted mushrooms, make sure you have plenty of
people with you. Easily had enough for four hungry people and
was only about $4.00!!! Can't go wrong with any of the steaks.

The wait is worth it. The steaks are excellent and I love the sweetpotates.
The atmosphere is enjoyable. Great place for a special meal.

Remeber the old saying: Good things come to those who wait? Well,
they were wrong. Great things come to those who wait at Stoney
RIVER. The staff are great. The atmosphere is that of an old hunting
lodge where after the slaughter one can come back to the campground
to smoke it over with the boys. Alright the part you've been wainting
for: The STEAKS. Where else can you go where the waiter waits on
you to take your first bite. "Is everything alright with you steak
sir?" Talk about service!!! Can be a bit pricey with drinks and
all. You better bring your Visa AND your American Express.

The atmosphere is rustic and very quaint. The presentation of
the food was decent and I thought the steaks were very good. They
had a delightful mixture of entrees.

Decent steakhouse for the suburbs. Steaks are good, from what
I hear. The salmon is decent. Quality was good enough, but the
preparation was poor. Grilled for probably 4 or 5 minutes too long
and the marinade overpowered the fish. Unimaginative menu and sides,
but hey, it's a steakhouse so what was I expecting? Service was good

This restaurant is definitely a cut below that of other great
Atlanta area steakhouses, including Ruth's Chris, Bone's, Chop's,
McKendrick's and Prime. The steak, I believe, is not of the same caliber. That
said, for the price, it is a good restaurant. The steaks are well
prepared, and the sides are substantial, and included in the overall cost.
They need to add a call-ahead or reservation policy, though, as the
wait is quite long.

To those who rate this place among the best steakhouses, I
have one suggestion: GET OUT MORE OFTEN. The fact that they
call one of their entree's a Peter Lugar Cut is
sac-religious. However if you want to wait a long time
for a mediocre meal, this place is for you!!
