In order of excellence: Chow mein, sweet and sour pork, prawns...chow mein is chow mein regardless of where you go (Though this was good chow mein); the sweet and sour pork was in a brown sauce (as opposed to the usual red sauce) and was very good; the prawns were, as with last time, exceptional. Our server quickly brought us drinks and though the servers practically left us alone for the rest of the meal, everything came rather quickly, so, no complaints. The atmosphere is basically a converted office building with a somewhat contemporary feel while maintaining a generalized level of elegance (Real tablecloths/napkins, nice white booths, limited elegant decor, etc.). The clientele seemed to be somewhat upscale (New BMWs, Mercedes Benz, etc., in the parking lot). Our server quickly brought us drinks and though the servers practically left us alone for the rest of the meal, everything came rather quickly, so, no complaints. Anyway, then we received our meal. Mine was the braised duckling ($12.95). The duck was cooked to perfection, tender, and flavorful and the green grass/noodle-like vegatables drowning in the sauce around it were incredible. Also, the fried white rice that came was some of the best white rice I have ever had. It was cooked to the perfect balance of chewy-meets-smooth, also with small scrambled egg bits that accented the overall flavor of the rice. I HIGHLY recommend Mei Long for those who want top-quality, fine chinese cuisine and for anyone who likes good food. less
