We have been fans for a long time, but the pizza we ordered tonight - delivered,
was the worst. If we didn't know better, we would never go back,
nor anyone else we know. The crust was like cardboard - thin, overbaked
- hardly any cheese- very disappointed. Threw it away - What a waste
of money. Probably will never order out from them again.

Skipolini's could be the best pizza in America. I was fortunate
enough to know Skip when he would come into Straw Hat pizza before he
opened the Clayton business. My family and I moved to the midwest in
2000. This summer, I made a point to make a special trip to the bay area
to have Skipolini's pizza in the Clayton location. It's nice
to know great things haven't changed. And to Skip's son, Kent,
thanks for carrying on a great tradition. Wished the pizza could be
overnighted to Missouri.

Used to be in an out of the way place in Clayton, but now that the
town has grown, it is central and easy to get to. This is by far the
best pizza in Contra Costa. Always friendly and warm. Great selection
of toppings. They sold me on pineapple on pizza back in the eighties.
This place is practically a landmark. Their longevity is a tribute
to the great pizza they proudly serve.

I really like their outdoor seating area. Their pizzas are very
good but if you order the veggie get the tomatoes on the side, otherwise
you get a very soggy pizza.

Still the best place for pizza in this part of Contra Costa. Unlike
your chain places, the pizza takes like pizza should - zesty sauces,
plentiful ingredients. They have a pizza that is supposed to
"guarantee" labor pains if you are pregnant and overdue. Even
if not, they have pleasant outdoor seating and a tasty pizza.
