I've eaten here 10 times. The food is good to very good on nights
when the cook is "on". The restaurant however does not successfully
carry off on the pretensions of it's decor and first generation
nobile Italian owners, let me explain...
Cibo is suffering from a confusion of mission. Mom (the owner)
wants to run an elegant eatery, her son wants to run a proftable

I don't know how you have missed one of the best restaurant's in Monterey. The food is great, the atmosphere is also and there is nightly entertainment.
Located in the heart of old downtown Monterey, 1 block from the
Marriott and the warf.
Check out the special appetizers, we had excellent crab cakes. The
pasta's are great along with a selection of Northern Italian meats.
The wine list is good with attentive but not overpowering waiters. A
must when your in the area!
