I had dinner there the other night. I had the lobster ravioli and my partner
had linguini/prawns. Both servings we ample in size and presented
very well. I found the lobster ravioli to be very nice, with good lobster
flavor and a nice sauce. I tasted the prawn dish and found it a bit bland,
but that may just be my taste preference (tending to like spicier dishes).
I found the service ok, reasonably prompt and friendly but lacking
finesse. The check back on the meals was slow and they removed my plate
before my partner was finished eating. I like the decor and I didn't
feel rushed, even tho I was the last diner that evening.

I've been here once for dinner, and once for lunch.
If 3.5 stars were possible to give here, I would. Service was good
but the staff seemed not particularly happy about it. My dinner
partner was a finnicky eater, and seemed quite pleased with her
meal. Portions were a good size, we had salads and an appetizer
in addition to our entrees. I enjoyed a very nice white wine from
a list that offered more just than the basics. I spent about $75
for the two of us.
The lunch was good but not as flavorful or tender as I had hoped.
Portions were ample. Prices seemed about the same as at dinner,
which was a surprise. Desserts were to die for. Lunch, without
wine or appetizers, was about $50 for two.

I have always been pleased with my dining experiences at Paradiso.
It's been nice to travel to a local spot for great food and
atmosphere, and I believe Paradiso delivers. On all occasions,
service has been prompt and the wait staff has been friendly.
The amount of food has always been more than adequate and I feel
that the quality far exceeds the prices they've asked. Overall,
each visit has been a delightful one and as long as they maintain
their offerings, I'll continue to dine there.

I had the rack of lamb, and it was great!! Also tried the pizza,
which tasted really good. The dessert menu was awesome, tried
the creme brulee and the classic sundae, both of which were great.
Prices are slightly on the higher side, but a great meal overall!!

Paradiso is kind of restaurant I should like, modern arty interior,
professional service, and an innovative menu, yet it always
seems to fall short for me. Their location, in a quiet, mostly
residential area of San Leandro is convenient and low stress.
They have a good, but not great wine list. After going there a half
dozen times or so, I can never really pin down what I don't like
about it. I suppose it is just the taste preference don't match
mine, in their choice of ingredients. Maybe the problem is that
every dish seems to have their strong preferences, and it lacks
real variety in the core ingredients? I'm still trying to figure
it out.

We've only been to Paradiso once. My husband liked it, and
had reason to: his lamb was excellent. I had a very
disappointing pizza: the ingredients all tasted very fresh
but the flavors did not blend well and the whole thing tasted rather
bland. Still, it's a good place for a fancier dinner in a
city devoid of many gastronomic possibilities.

An interesting dining opportunity for San Leandro. Paradiso
has managed to stay open and busy for several years now, so
they must be doing something right. I have had the pleasure of
dining here on several occasions, and everyone stated that they
enjoyed their meals. The dinners have ranged from "Joe's Garlic
Steak" (a wonderful version of a beef eater's delight) to less
heavy meals of pasta and grilled fish. I have tried the hand
crafted pizza on more than one occasion, and each time I was
pleasantly suprised at the quality (but why I'm surprised, I
don't know, as the owner here also own's Sergio's Pizza, also
located in San Leandro). If you would like to have a good meal
in an interesting surrounding, and you want to keep it local,
give Paradiso a try. Who knows, you might like the place, too.

After reading the mostly-rave reviews a friend and Idecided to give this place a try. The modern decorwas a bit sterile for our tastes, and the entrees seemed to bein a higher price range than others have suggested.Niether my chicken dish nor my friend's pasta dishwas very special; the food was on the blandside, and the portions small. Service was only fairwhere have professional waiters/waitresses gone?),especially given that the room was virtually empty.Overall, a very disappointing dining experience, given our high expectations.
