A very nice little Italian restaurant. The atmosphere is OK but
the food is really good. If you like good Italian food at a very
reasonable price, definitely give this place a try! Not crowded,
service is attentive. We tried the lasagne and veal marsala and
were quite pleased.

If you want great Italian food without the high prices then this
is
the place for you. It used to be a Burger King so the ambiance isn't
the
best but it's been fixed up really cute. But go for the food! Especially
the pasta dishes. Giovanni is the owner/chef and his selections
are out of this
world. He makes an awesone caesar salad too, and his gnocchi are
homemade!
Also, stop by on Friday for his clam chowder. His wines are mostly
Italian (I
like the white merlot) and have an espresso with his tiramisu
for dessert. Truly
worth a trip to see Giovanni!

After reading the above reviews, we tried Giovanni's for lunch and
were very pleased with the place. We were four, and we each picked
a different item for lunch. Mine was a chicken and artichoke in
corkscrew pasta with a white wine sauce that was steaming hot and
just perfect. I eyed the salmon and bow-tie pasta in a light cream
sauce that another ordered, and looked wistfully at the angel-hair
pasta with prawns in a tomato sauce. The menu is chock-full of choices
that I am sure will not disappoint.
As noted, the breadsticks were similar to Florentine's, and better
in my opinion. Two had salads which looked very good, and I tried
the tomato basil soup of the day which was fabulous.
The service was quick but unhurried and very friendly.
The atmosphere could use a lot of improvement, as it still retains
a Cafe counter from it's previous life.

My husband & I eat at Giovanni's quite often. The price
is right but most of all the food is excellent. The service is
always good and we never have to wait for a table. Our
favorite is the chicken paesano, but the pizza is the best
value. There is a good selection of imported wines and
beers and the cannoli is a must for dessert. We make it
our place to go to celebrate birthdays with friends and family.

The food was delicious! The service was great! The price was cheap!!
We thought it was a terrific deal for 2 people at 9:30pm last Friday night.
We were seated when we walked in, our waiter was enjoyable and
extremely friendly.
We each had a salad (blue cheese dressing was yummy!) and soup, garlic
bread and a pasta dish and drinks for $25.00.
The cannaloni was excellent. We have recommended this restaurant to
many friends already.

We visited on Saturday about 5:00 PM. The restaurant was about half
filled, and we were seated right away. The waitress was quite
friendly, but not obtrusive. Service was quick without seeming to
rush us. The complimentary bread is similar to Florentine's, shaped
like large breadsticks. Very tasty. We also had the garlic bread
which was very hot and garlicy. I had the Vitello alla Marsala, veal
sauteed with mushrooms in a Marsala wine sauce, and while I've had
better (at Florentines) it was quite good. My friend had the Lombata
di Maiale, port loin marinated and roasted. It was very tender and
flavorful. I had the Tiramisu for dessert and it was very good also.
All in all, I wouldn't say this is the best Italian food I've ever
had, but it was good and plentiful for the money. I had wine and my
friend had two Italian beers for a total meal cost of $45.
