Good food, service and prices. The most pleasant part of our dining experience was the outdoor dining.

Food and atmosphere very enjoyable. In the summer eating in the patio is a must. Great presentation and very hearty meals. Bar drinks are a bit on the light side.

We had a lovely meal on Saturday. I had the risotta and my husband had the veal which was just wonderful. Add a splendid salad, great bread, good wine and the best sorbet I have ever tasted and you have the formula for the evening. The service is thoughtful and not rushed.

Absolutely fabulous. Ambience (outdoors) was great. Was a little on the noisy side due to a party of 15 or so diners celebrating some great occasion. Price: dinner for two included a bottle of wine ($18), salad for two, entree, and dessert: $85 with tax and tip. Food was fantastic -- saffrom prawns ordered without the chili flakes. Service: first class Employees: all up scale, warm, and friendly.

This is a multi-location restaurant, that specializes in upscale Italian food, with a dozen or so locations in California. I have been to a couple of their other restaurants, in Sonoma and Palo Alto, and I think this is the best one in the Bay Area. They have other ones in Mill Valley and Yountville. In many ways it is similar to the El Fornaio chain, although I seem to like Piatti's a little better. I have been to the Danville location about five times over the past four months, and have been happy every time. It has a nice atmosphere, with both indoor and outdoor dining. It is both elegant and casual. The kitchen is in full view and they have a wood burning oven. The service is always fast and professional, except in the bar once. I have mostly had their pasta dishes, and have been very satisfied. They have a good wine selection. I have not yet got a chance to eat outside, but the warm weather is coming and I expect it to be very pleasant.

Actually the success rate of restaurants in this spot has been less than stellar. So of course I wanted to try the new victim and was pleasantly surprised. They have a terrific variety of meat and pasta dishes all with the proper amount of garlic (can’t be an Italian restaurant without garlic). Service is very good too great and are very accommodating. I’ve been there twice and was pleased both times. I would recommend Piatti over the more pretentious Bridges or Blackhawk café.

Our favorite Italian restaurant in the San Ramon-Danville-Alamo area. Saffron Ribbons with Prawns are out of this world! Great bruchetta! Wonderful Italian seafood. Love the smoked, double pork chops; rosemary chicken cooked over oak; garlic mashed potatos; daily rissoto special; daily pizza special made in brick oven over oak. Very good deserts, espressos, and port wines. Nice ambience inside and out; recommend the patio on warm evenings. Great service. Mostly an adult crowd (all ages). Children welcome. No children's menu, but chefs will prepare simple pasta dishes in kid-sized portions. Not a great place to eat if you're in a hurry, but no problem - once you get here, you won't want to leave anyway.
