Mister Steer moved to Sunnyvale after the restaurant lost its
lease. Do not know the new address of Mr. Steer!

I've been going to Mister Steer since I was a kid in the 1950's when
we lived in Santa Clara and my dad was stationed at Moffett Field
(remember back when we still had military in the Bay Area?). The
decor has not changed, the menu has not changed (except that prices
have gone up, but just a bit), and the service has not changed.
This is a place where you see singles, couples and whole famlies
sit down to steak dinners and all seem to enjoy what they eat. Not
fancy, not gourmet, but good food just the same. I like the Rib
Steak with a baked potato and house salad. Who said that every
meal has to be fancy? Call your doctor in the morning!!!

The food is quite good. Very good service, very prompt and attentive
to its customers. Can get quite crowded on Friday nights so go
early. No reservations, just a sign in book that gets filled up
fast. The decore is somewhat outdated but who cares if the food
is good! A friend brought me here 7 years ago when I arrived in California
and I'm still visiting the establishement!

Good food and large quantities. I have been here for lunch. I had
the steak and it was excellent. The lunch costs less than 8.00$.
Dinner is from 12.00-18.00$

This is an excellent bang for your buck restaurant. This was a favorite of
my parents some thirty years ago and the look, feel and flavor are still the
same today. This is a classic steak house..

This restaurant is a good, family owned, no-frills place to eat.
The quality of food is above average (4/5). The decor is dated
and simple (2/5) - I consider a good meal to be an experience;
that includes food, service, and atmosphere. The waitservice is
good,(3/5) although the hostess seemed abrupt.
If you want a decent meal at a reasonable price - eat here.
If you want to impress somebody with a delightfully
memorable eating experience - don't.

I grew up locally and have been getting their take out
dinners for years. I fancy the New York, medium. Comes with
all the trimmings - salad, dinner roll (usually warm), good
sized baked potato with sour cream and butter on the side. Three
out of five times they even throw in some great tasting
side veggies! Give em a call and by the time you can get there
dinner is ready and waiting. Hollywood Video Rentals across the
street.....can't beat a cozy Mr Steer take out dinner and a
movie!

I tried this place yesterday. The food is excellent. Very reasonable
prices too. Try the Porterhouse steak or the Rack of ribs. Service was
a bit slow - busy Friday night

I have been here several times for lunch. The steak
sandwich is excellent. It comes with choice of fries
or baked potato & a salad. The giant burger family is
also well worth the price. The quality of the hamburger
is excellent, and they do not charge extra for bacon or
sauteed mushrooms. The burger also comes with salad and
fries. Bring a hearty appetite!
