Some of the best french cuisine I have ever experienced. Crusty warm
bread that melts in your mouth. Pasta prepared every way you could imagine.
Pleasant atmosphere and the service is impeccable.

This used to be one of our regular restaurants when we lived in Atlanta
15 years ago. We returned in 01/2007 and much to our delight, it was as
good (if not better than ever). We moved to San Francisco and this restaurant
is every bit as good and 1/2 the price of the "high priced spread".

Excellent food with a small quaint romantic atmosphere, this
restaurant has been a classic in Atlanta for many years. The food
is typically outstanding and the wine selection good. While
perhaps a bit expensive, the price is worth it.

Quaint and slightly old-fashioned, South of France is an endearing
spot. Regularly chosen in the "most romantic" categories,
and with good reason, the restaurant is known for its traditional
country French dishes. No fusion cuisine here. Nothing overly
haute either. We love this kind of place for quiet, comfortable
meals with family and friends.

On our visit, we especially enjoyed the Coquilles St. Jacques
appetizer ($11) – the Cognac Cream Sauce was indeed "divine, "
as promised on the menu. Entrée standouts include Veal Oscar
($20) and, our favorite, Breast of Chicken with Olive Tapenade
($15).

Authentic French cuisine is hard to find especially in the South.
However, The South of France restaurant has it hands down. The
atmosphere is cozy and romantic, the staff friendly(obviously
not the real French) and the food is very good. If you want to be
romantic and love French food, or just love French food, then
this is the place to go in Atlanta.

Great restaurant! I have been here with my wife as well as with
large groups and fully enjoy this restaurant. They serve classical
French style food which is well prepared and the service is excellent.
I found their house wines to be excellent and always enjoy my visits
here.

On top of the fine food and excellent service, the atmosphere
of this restaurant is very nice. Perfect for that romantic night
out.
