Kenwood, Valley of the Moon, 8 miles south of Santa Rosa. Magical place.
This deli looking restaurant serves real trattoria Italian food that
would get a good review in Tuscany. Big menu on white boards updated
daily as the fresh stuff comes in from the farmer's markets.
Pizza is NOT made everyday. It's actually a special that appears
just 2 days per week.
So, Bambie, me and my two best friends go for lunch today. We order at
the counter and then the GOOD server brings the food. Everything served
on heavy porcelain with real glasses, good cutlery.
Roast whole chicken, cut up into manageable pieces - Perfect flavor,
$9.95. Margherita pizza, 13" diameter-$11. Giant ceaser salad
with real Mediterranean anchovies-$4.95. Glass of Chianti $4. PERFECT
cannoli worthy of an award, $5. We brought food home because the portions

Arguably, the best caesar salad in the county. Generous
portions for the pasta dishes. You order from the counter
and then pick your table. About 15 tables inside... which
look as if re-arranging for a large party would not be a
problem. There is another dozen or so tables outside...
which are nice too, if you don't mind some slight traffic
noise... bring a sweater just in case. You'll be served
at your table. Service seems very attentive. Wine list
is pretty well rounded if not a bit on the pricey side.

Fresh everything at this native Napolitean's small
restaurant in Kenwood. Pasta, pani, everything is made
from scratch daily and shows it. Wonderful salads and
a deli with many Italian delicacies and condiments.
Try the daily past and the Rosemary chicken.
PS: I noticed that all wineries were included int he
Glen Ellen Listing., Do you want Kenwood's wineries as
well?
