The crab cake appetizer was great. So was the duck daily
special. The wild boar on the menu was a bit too salty though.
Service was emphatically friendly, and it was easy to get
reservations on a busy saturday afternoon. It was great food
at a reasonable price in an otherwise snobby yountville.

The nut-crusted sea bass, rack of lamb, Chardonnay and
Gewurtztraminer, and strudel were great, plus the
ambience, the sound level and the air conditioning on a hot day.
But the best part of the experience was Valerie Crow, the hostess,
who seated us after only ten minutes with an apology after she
couldn't find our reservation. Ask for her and you will be
guaranteed to get the best result possible.

The menu reads very well. Had a great lunch on a busy
saturday afternoon.
The waiter was very helpful, but could have timed the apps,
salads entrees better. Creative salads, beautiful
presentation. Thank You NVG.

Food was excellent and so was the service. The Crab cake appetizers
were very yummy. I went for the vegetarian rigatoni with veggies in a
red pepper sauce, and my friend had the linguini with jumbo prawns.
Both our dishes were very tasty. We had fruit sorbet for dessert which
consisted of a scoop of peach and strawberry. The flavouring in them
were strong and that was good
I would definitely go back there again.

The main menu is good while the daily specials are excellent and very
creative. The service was friendly and offered many suggestions. The
wine list, naturally, is very good with a good house wine. Well worth
the trip.
