I went to Sunny's with friends for a birthday supper...I've never, ever had such horrendous, jaw-dropping service in my life...excellent food but miserably rude staff! The sign at the entrance said please wait to be seated, but no hostess appeared...we decided to go in to find our friends ourselves. When we sat down the waitress took our drink orders and then disappeared for 40 mins (even though we were seated literally 3 feet from the bar). We never even got bread until after we were eating our main course. Our waitress only took our dinner orders because I looked around to inform her that we were starting to get really hungry! Be very careful of "suggestions" from your waitress at this restaurant...if you order a steak for example you will be asked if you would like mushrooms and cheese with it and since the table d'hôte states that you get two free sides with your main dish you will simply assume that her suggestions are included in the price...wrong!!!! ... more

You will get your two free sides and pay about 10 dollars extra for her two other “suggestions”. Be wary of their trickery...when I mentioned that I wanted to cancel my cheese and mushrooms because I suddenly heard that the two free sides were a baked potato and asparagus, the waitress instead told me that I could share my sides with my friends and never removed them from my order! After ordering our food we finally did get water, she forgot to give some of us glasses...when we complained, the waitress then went to the bar, picked up two dirty wine glasses and plunked them down in front my friend...there was still left over wine in them...she then tried to fill them up with water (about 20 mins later) but when she was informed that the glasses were dirty and that we had seen her take them off the bar, she vehemently started arguing with us that she hadn't. When the drinks finally arrived it was obvious that some of them had been made without alcohol and even though one was sent back, it was returned the same way. Some of us never even got what we ordered, having been curtly informed that "they had no more" and were simply given a drink of the bartender's choice. (We were never asked what we would have liked instead). When we received our suppers, many of us were given the wrong plates...one friend never even received his order...but it was on his bill anyway! When we reminded the waitress that drink orders still hadn't been received she told us quite loudly that she'd heard us the first time!!! (My mouth was literally hanging open by this point!) When it came time to pay, some of us decided that a tip was not going to be given. The waitress took the credit cards and when she realized that someone was not going to be tipping she came immediately back to the table and said; “What, you didn’t like your service?” CAN YOU IMAGINE THE NERVE? She then proceeded to explain that because she was not receiving a tip that she then had to split 8% of her total sale with the bartender…when she was informed by us that it was not our problem what happened between them, she huffed off and the night ended poorly for all of us. We all felt embarrassed and thoroughly disgusted by the way we had been treated. I wish however to commend the chef…the food was delicious…the meat was so tender my knife slid through it like butter! Although the restaurant looked classy and presented wonderful food, the service was so poor that neither I, nor many others I know will ever go back. Since I was curious about other people’s experience with this restaurant I began reading reviews online and I am sad to report that we are not the only people to have had this type of sorry experience at Sunny’s Resto Pub in Vaudreuil! less

Incredible... <br> Sunny's is a stylishly decoratred restro-pub in the middle of rapidly expanding suburban Vaudreuil-Dorion. Actually its kind of out of place, almost little too stylish for the area (but its getting there). <br> The cliental appear sophisticated and well dressed 20 to 40 somethings. The bar and wait staff knowledgeable good looking. Not for kids. <br> Inside are swanky furnishings, ultra violet lights, great music. There seems to be a number of different themes going on depending where you are in the restaurant. <br> Outside is a nice Terrace (Thursday is BBQ night) Prime Alberta Steaks ($20-$30) <br> Sunny's offer starters $2.50 - $7.00 (great Crab Cakes) and a good choice of mains. Pasta, Pizza, Burgers, Stir Fry, Salads, Steak, Fish etc. ($10-$30) <br> A comprehensive Cocktail and Shooter selection. <br> Hard to find if you are not a local. You can see ... more
