Well, , 5-10 bucks for me because I'M A PIG!!! Wow, ,why
have I never been to this place before? My friends just took me
there and it was one of the best ice cream experiences I've
had since my 8th birthday. I hada smoothie and tried the "Yam"
ice cream as well as the "Avacado" which, ,surprizingly, ,tastes
like avacados, ,, STOP READING THIS AND GO THERE!!!!

If ice cream is your religion, this is your temple! There is no
finer place than Mitchell's. Not only do they offer the basic
flavors (chocolate mint chip, vanilla fudge, toasted almond),
but they have a wide variety of unusual, and quite unique flavors
as well (mango, halo halo). They make their own ice cream (no longer
on-site, like it used to be), so you are bound to get nothing but
quality. Each month, a new flavor is invented. Keep in mind, Mitchell's
has been around since 1953, and is quite popular. Always remember
to take a number as soon as you arrive, especially on any Sunday,
because the lines are out the door!

Every time I return to the City, I have to go to the
Mission for some of the best Ice Cream in North
America. Genuinely distinctive flavors from the
Pacific Rim with exotic flair such as langka (a
sweet, creamy melony fruit) to, my favorite, macapuno
(thick chunks of fresh coconut in coconut ice cream)
and halo-halo (a combination of delicious tropical
flavors) to avocado (an interesting flavor, it's good,
no pistachio, but it is good, try it). And for those
with vanilla ice cream passions, try their vanilla bean
ice cream, and chocolate and sherbets. You will be
surprized, never disappointed, and the drive to San
Jose St., isn't so far from SOMA.
