Cool, and a unique cuisine. Small, but worth stopping in. The menu is
varied, and the atmosphere is kind of the busy cafe feel. Food was very
good, and everything was tasty.

This is the best Korean place in the Bay Area. I head over here when
I am in SF. Don't make a mistake and end up at Brothers #2, just
a few blocks away. Not at all the same. The food is great, but it
is super busy here. You will smell like BBQ when you leave.

You'll walk out of here stuffed, satisfied and smelling like
smoke. The food is excellent. They give you a generous selection
of Kimchee and other pickled delicacies when you get a table.
The food can be cooked (by you) or cooked for you. On most of the
tables is a grill pit heated by Misquite Charcoal. The Misquite
is what gives the food such good flavor, but makes the restaurant
very smoky inside. I would not recommend this place if you have
asthma. The place is small. Every time I've been there I had to
wait for a table. One tip for first timers, be aggressive and get
a "next in line number" from the waitress. Otherwise you may be
passed over for the next table and they are too busy to notice new
patrons in the waiting area.

Yummy and fresh. Owner/Operator was very friendly. Kind of smoky
around the grill from time to time but that didn't really affect
the experience too much.
They actually threw in an extra dish on the house I guess because
they had an extra one.
Plenty of extras. Will visit again.

yah, this is the korean bbq place to go in sf. i don't really go to
any other in sf anymore. i go to koryo sutpul in oakland, but as
far as sf; this is it. well, all the bbq stuff is pretty good: bulgogi,
dwaeji bulgogi, kalbi, mae woon dalk... i dunno, for some reason,
my roommate doesn't like my ordering mae woon dalk there; something
like it's better to get the kalbi n' bulgogi.. the "real" meat
stuff... tsss... well, you can get none bbq stuff... soon dubu
jjigae's always good w/ a big meal... ojinguh bokeum, etc...
yah, the owners n' servers are really nice people. if you go late
at nite, after clubbing, sometimes you don't want to bbq, so you
can order naengmyun or dolsot bibimpap or something. you'll
leave this place stuffed, unless you've got really greedy, gluttonous
friends.
hrm... under the "alcohol service" thingy for this review, it
says "beer, wine." what about soju?! of course, they have soju.

The food is O.K., just like any the food in any decent Korean
restaurants on the West Coast. One thing I really cannot fail to
mention is the fact that the restaurant is very crowded, so a good
number of the customers are neglected. Although the owner is always
bowie and smiley to the customers, I was really appalled by the fact
that the owner is very mean to his workers. I certainly was not
accustomed to the owner yelling at the workers in front of my table.
I was very shocked by his behavior. The place is always full of smoke
in that you get the feeling that the ventilation system is out of
order. The walls definitely need some repainting for sure. You get
the sense that the place is not so clean. The food might be all
right, but I don't know if you will be able to sacrifice your dinner
for this mediocre environment. In short, I do not recommend this
place.

The owner is very friendly and the BBQ rib is excellent. Vert
generous condiments.
Overall rating: excellent in food and service.

Probably the best Korean restaurant in the SF Bay Area, although
you'll probably find justly better places in LA or NY. The
barbeque chicken and kalbi (ribs) are absolutely mouth watering.
Typically, korean restaurants can be quite rude to non-Koreans
but this place was consistently courteous and pleasant.
