I agree with Mr. Rohan Oberoi in that the service at SARGAM INDIAN CUISINE
is simply wonderful.

Can't rate it high because their food gave me an upset stomach
a couple hours after eating there.

The food here is good - just as good as the best place in Berkeley.
Best Indian food in the United States? That honor belongs to an
Indian restaurant in Georgetown, I believe. Food is consistently
good, flavoring balance right, service definitely better than
other Indian restaurants. Good solid standby. And there aren't
many Indian restaurants in Contra Costa, so if you are in the area,
this is the place to go. Lunch buffet is currently $7.95, a good
value.

I like Sargam but, I don't like the way they issue coupon and the
way it is honoured. Let me tell you my experience. I got coupon
in coupon book issues by Sargam saying "1 dinner entree free"
with one. We 3 folks went for a dinner with that coupon and the waiter
asked for the coupon before placing the order. The food we got
wasn't satisfactory and I asked the waiter "Is this because of
coupon". This is just awful and why the Sargam folks has to insist
to submit coupon before placing the order and why don't they collect
the coupon at the time of checkout??
Please answer me. This adds bad reputation to Sargam.

Excellent Food I have ever had, Probably anywhere in the United
States. The ambiance and the service are merely the perks to such
an excellent quality of food available at Sargam Indian Cuisine
in Walnut Creek, California. Please convey this to both the management
and the Chef's at the SARGAM that they are doing an excellent job.

This is one of the places where yo just can't go wrong. Sargam Indian
Cuisine is the finest Indian food around, I have found in Bay Area.
Thanks to one of my friends who lives in Walnut Creek and eats at
Sargam, at least once a week. Try the Lunch Buffet - for the first
timers and then go for dinner one evening to try out the creative
specials. This location has a great parking in addition to the
street parking available. Both food, service and ambience is
great in this fine Indian Restaurant. Ciao, Tyler

Great food! Great Service!! Great ambience!!!. I was told by
numerous people about Sargan Indian Cuisine in Walnut Creek,
CA; and finally had the opportunity to be in there last Saturday
evening.
I had an excellent dining experience. Most of the Indian RestuarantsI
have come across have have too much of cream in there; But this
one had no fat, little ot no cream, and superb quality of food,
This was the best Indian food I have ever had in Bay Area!!!! Highly
recommended to everybody and especially those who frequently
dine out!!!! And thanks for the wonderful job you guys at www.dine.com
are doing to help us all to evaluate the restaurants.

Undoubtedly, this is THE BEST Indian Restaurant I have ever been
to in USA (from east coast to west coast, and from north to south).
I strongly recommend to first try the Buffet Lunch which is a good
sampling of the food and then go for dinner.

Good solid consistent Indian food in Walnut Creek. Nothing too
exceptional or experimental, but then again I'm not usually
too interested in "creative" Indian dishes. I find the lunch
buffet to be better than most Indian buffets, but I normally would
rather order from the menu and have something freshly prepared
with my exact tastes and spice level. I think the service level
at Sargam is a little better than most Indian restaurants, which
are often lacking in friendliness or attentiveness. The food
has been consistently good each time I have been there. I still
prefer the sauce flavors a little more at other Indian restaurants,
like Sabina's in Oakland or Sizzling Tandoor in Santa Rosa, but
I am not usually disappointed, and it is very convenient because
it is close to my house.
