A good place to hang out. The coffee (I mean, real coffee) is good. And the selection and quality of food is fine. And the location is great as this is the trendiest part of the street.

This is Little Italy. Grab a great Cafe au Lait or Espresso at this superb cafe filled with actual Italians speaking Italian. Before and after your caffeine fix, check out the awesome pastry shop on the same street (have a lobster tail), and don't miss the ultimate Italian cooking shop, where Pappa can buy a gun to hunt down dinner and Mamma can buy pots and pans to cook it up!

If your looking for a Cafe with great service, delicious food, a bar equipped with a wide variety of beers, wines and liquor, hot wait staff, unique interior design, great music, hot clientele and incredible ambiance, or just a cup of coffee, I would definately reccomend Cafe Republique on St. Laurent Street. We had an incredible experience. We liked it so much we even tried their new location on Peel Street (which was even better!!)

Nice, solid restaurant , visited mostly by business people from downtown. Chicken and ribs are tasty and not too expensive. Not the kind of place for a date.

This is not really the best place around, but you might want to try it, for a change, if you need to sip a good coffee or have a sandwich. And the atmosphere is as lively as anywhere in this part of the town.

perhaps known as republique de I want to be Second Cup.....but they do better as they offer full meals a la Francaise...quiches, etc....pretty good people watching spot as well.....

This is a café, but it costs as much as a resto. The in-crowd is here, and you can see the Ferraris on the Grand Prix week end. The foos is average except for the desserts which are great.
