In a city seemingly overrun with Thai restaurants, Manora's stands out for the quality and authenticity of their food. Unlike many of their counterparts, they do not sweeten their food for American palates or tone down the heat. Their Tom Yum Goong is superb, as are a number of less familiar items on the menu. The neighborhood is a bit iffy at night, and parking may be an issue on weekends.

Do dinner here as an exception, lunch as a rule. The lunch specials get you in and out with a coke for 10 bucks, and that results in you sleeping at your desk after you go back to work. Start with coconut milk soup with chicken, then hit up the entree combination of bbq chicken and beef with mushrooms. Spicing is fabulous, portions rich and very large. Ten bucks for lunch. Sold.
