I would rather go to a McDonalds and get the McRib combo meal and dump
my full ashtray on it than eat the ribs at that rendezdon't. One
of the few times in my life that I made the mistake of not returning the
plate when the bartender set them down. Now looking back I could tell
that they were over cooked in the microwave. try cutting concrete with
a plastic knife and see what you get..ribs from there. I would rather
knaw my left arm off than even look at the front door to that joke. I cook
ribs, i eat ribs, and I also cook and eat a lot of dishes and know what I'm
talking about. There's nothing special about getting charged
$22 for a strip of pork jerky thats been microwaved. Its that bad. i will
never return there and a lot of people ask me about food because they
know I have high expectations for the food I eat and because I'd
rather live than die from eating it. I agree with all other posts on here
to AVoiD DEATH and find a McDonalds. By far the biggest waste of my l ...

BBQ is sub-standard in taste. We have lived here our whole lives and
finally decided to see what all the press was about. It is basically
about a tourist trap type restaurant that does not actually give a good
impression of Memphis food or BBQ. We were completely unimpressed
with the whole experience. It is not a very friendly place for those
who are wheelchair bound or have trouble walking very long distances.
If you don't know any better it might be good.

Classic place. Great BBQ. Snobby service. This is a must visit for anyone
coming to Memphis. Unfortunately, everyone who works there knows
it.

The ribs, are really good here. The sausage and cheese plate for an appetizer
is also great. The atmosphere is also nice.

If you are looking for some true southern Bar-B-Que, then Rendezvous
is the place to go. They are known for the dry rub ribs and a great downtown
atmosphere.
The restaurant is located in an alley off of 2nd st. and Union. If your
having trouble finding it, just ask anyone and they will know, or if
your in the downtown area, just follow the smell of smoked, mouth watering
southern ribs.
There can be a long wait if there is a large event going on downtown and
plus it's World Famous, But the wait is well worth it.
The service there is fast and the price is very, very reasonable.
If you looking for ribs that have a dry rub on them then this is the place
to go.

We were recently in Memphis. We were going to stay over and going to go
out and listen to great jazz, find good barbecue and vist Elvis. Everyone
we asked that was local recommended that for great barbecue the only
place to go to was the Rendezous.
Not a big fan of barbecue. We went to the Rendezous, asked the waiter
what he recommended. The food was absolutely the very best barbecue
we have ever had.
Highly recommend that when in Memphis make it a point to go there. I know
if I am ever back In Memphis that is where I am going.

There was just two of us that dined and when we left we could not
believe we just paid 5o for ribs only. We did get slaw and beans
that tasted both the same (mustardery). The ribs were very greasy
and it took forever for us to get waited on. Should have just left
and went down the street to Corky's or the Spag. Factory.

Lots of young people in the dinner crowd. You will feel as though
you got your moneys worth.Well worth a visit, the
barbeque here is treated with the honor great barbeque deserves.

Very good traditional ribs and meats. Menu is conservative and
but enough. Prices and service are fantastic. Would recommend
for lunch over dinner because of the crowds at night. Lets of young
people in the dinner crowd. You will feel as though you got your
moneys worth.
