An excellent addition to what has become a long over run corner
of San Francisco. North Beach is home to the Italian community,
but over th last few years many of the restaurants have seemed
tired. Six months ago the Tango Grill opened. This establishment
is a wonderful breath of fresh air!!!! Featuring the often overlooked
cuisine of Argentina, the Tango reigns supreme with its bbq speciaties.
From succulent mesquite(pampas style) steaks and grilled half
chicken to beautifully prepared empanadas(all served with
the succulent chimichurrri sauce), you won't be disappointed.
Many may be a bit confused by the inclusion of several pasta dishes.
One has to remember that Argentina is an equally mixed population
of immigrant Spaniards and Italians, thus their food is influenced
by each. The pasta dishes are first rate here. The restaurant
has a very Buenos Aires cavern feel to it. Go and you won't be disappointed.
