This is my favorite non-buffet in town. I loved the food, the service
is great and the hotel is the most unique in town. Go with an empty stomach-
the portions are for 2 people.

I first went to the Grand Luxe a few months ago for lunch with friends
before going to see the A Century of Painting exibit at the Guggenheim
Museum at the Venetian Hotel on the Las Vegas Strip. Apparently
the same people who own The Cheesecake Factory (another favorite
of mine - at Caesar's Forum), own the Grand Luxe as well.

This place is huge, busy and actually the table turn-over is pretty
fast so the wait is not long.

I have ordered the Edamame with this wonderful spicy soy sauce
(it is D-lish!!) every time. The fried rock strip, veggies and
calamari rings are pretty good but I think the dipping sauce makes
them better than they would be normally.

For being in an Venice-themed casino, this place is very Asian/American
inspired. Not that I am complaining because Japanese food happens
to be in my top two, its rank depending upon my mood!

A Cheesecake Factory restaurant only more fancy. Great food,
large portions, service that is hardly surpassed. Take some
time and go through the drink list - there is some really funky-fun
stuff on there!

Best 24 hour resturaunt that I have tried in Las Vegas.
Very large menu selection, well prepared food, fair service.
Lines can be long, you can use the Venetian Gold slot card as a line
pass.

The food was great with big portion. The salads are huge enough
for two people. My favorite was the portifino salad - delicious!!

I cannot say enough about the Cafe Lux. I have been
to the restaurant twice. Each time the food was fantastic.
On my most recent trip in late April 2000, they added
Weiner Schnitzel to the menu. It was to die for. The veal
was some of the most tender I've ever eaten. The garlic mashed
potatoes and glazed carrots were wonderful. When I asked to
compliment the chef, I was told this was something new they were
trying and had just added it to the menu that day. They had
received many compliments and were keeping it.
The Cafe is located right off the main Casino and is frequented
primarily by hotel guests and hungry casino players. For the
money,
it is the best hotel restaurant I have ever eaten in.
