The Main dishes are good but the accompanying items like Sambhar & Chutneys are not authentic & they both are watery. The service is quite like a college canteen & good. The cutlery needs to be kept in a cleaner place & needs to be dry. <br> Overall the place is worth a visit or two.

I do agree with Shreedhar, Definately the food is not up to the standard of restaurants in Madras. But you feel like having food in madras. The way they take the Order & serve the food are good. But its bit expensive when compare to other rest, but once in a while is good

The restaurant claims to make authentic food from Madras, India. Unfortunately, the food is not up to the standard of restaurants in Madras. In fact, the restaurant seems to have become very creative in trying to figure out what authentic Madras food is. For example, the Sambar taskes like a combination of dal with vegetables with mild Sambar flavor. The quantities and prices are also crazy. For example, if you order Sambar rice, you get a small plate with a little bit of Sambar rice and less than 10 pieces of potato chips. The chips is certainly not sufficient for the Sambar-rice, the the vegetables (for a balanced, typical Madras meal) are totally absent. The yoghurt-rice (thaiyir-saatham) was also quite weird. Certainly not Madras style. The pickles were, once again, not sufficient to accompany the food. Here is my overall impression of this restaurant. There is no real Madras cuisine in Northern California. (Dasaprakash in L.A. is authenti ... more

Excellent, authentic and healthy south Indian food in a very clean and simple setting. It is several classes above your regular restaurant fare.
