'THE' best place to eat oysters in the Quarter! We had 2 dozen
raw oysters followed by baked oysters with cheese on top, an oyster
poboy, red beans and rice and 2 orders of bread pudding! That was for
2 people!! The wait isn't that bad, but get there fairly early in
the late afternoon to avoid having to stand in line. We always eat at
the bar. Excellent eating!

I agree, the Fried Oyster Po Boy was the best ever. Cooked to absolute
perfection. You will love every bite and want more.

This joint is always loud, often crowded, and the kind of place
where you're likely to run into obnoxious fellow travelers.
But if you need an oyster fix or you've never tried oyster
shooting (taking a raw oyster, possibly doused in sauce, and
letting it slide right down your throat), come here. There's
nothing quite like standing at the oyster bar, eating a dozen
or so freshly shucked oysters on the half-shell. (You can have
them at a table, but somehow they taste better at the bar.) If you
can't quite stomach them raw, try the oyster po' boy,
with beer, of course. Acme offers fresh-baked bread pudding
and cheesecake on the dessert menu, but of course, dessert is
not why you come here.

While I went to the location in Jefferson the service and food
was still just as good. Raw Oysters were fresh and clean. The Gumbo
is shockly excellent as usually a busy establishment like this
has premade gumbo which tends to lack the flavor one enjoys. The
cajun Sushi was a interesting dish. However, sushi is not one
of my favorite dishes. Regardless it was good.

A tasty place for a seafood dinner. The poboys are great here also.
Seating is a little tight, but the food is very well piced and nicely
spiced. The seafood is always fresh here. Highly recommend this
to tourists and locals alike.

The best place to eat a New orleans Po-Boy before a nite out in the
Quarter! Although go early, because this is a popular place and
alsways develops a line! It is worth the wait! Small friendly
place! Great drinks! Highly recommended!

Acme Oyster House is the best place to get oysters in New Orleans.
Both the natives and tourists know this, which requires waiting
in line most of the time. But the wait is well worth it. If you like
oysters, you definitely have to get them here. They serve them
up in a variety of ways. My favorite is the Cajun Sushi. You get
six fried oysters served sushi-style on a bed of rice with wasabi
and pickled ginger. They even give you chopsticks to eat them
with. You'd be best to avoid the crawfish, not that they're
bad, but at $9.95 a pound, you don't get that many because
most of the weight is in the crawfish carcass, which is inedible.
The place has a real roadhouse feel to it, with neon signs all over
the place. Drink some Abita or Shiner Bock with your oysters,
and you'll realize it doesn't get much better than this.

Great place for a poboy anytime of day. If you are bold, you can
try to make the wall of fame for eating raw oysters. I prefer mine
cooked, and they have a great sandwich.
