If you are at the water in Columbia, eat elsewhere. This is average at best. If you wantthis type of menu and pub, go to Fridays. It's a Bennigans, but this one is not nearly up to snuff. Always noisy, crowded, and usually poor and slow service. There are three restaurants and two bars less than 1000 feet away that are FAR superior. And ever since they stopped offering burgers below medium-well, the best menu item is gone. Do yourself a favor, try another place.

Go early. A cut above the typical Columbia pub style resturant. Nice menu, reasonable prices and usually good service. Can become crowed and noisy on Friday nights. Like most chains, not worth waiting in line more than a few minutes.

A notch above over similar "Bistro" chains in the vain of T.G.I. Friday's, Applebee's, Chili's, Ruby Tuesday's (overpriced and often poor, BTW) and so on... I would say of the five, Benningan's and Friday's menus are larger and more creative. I particularly like the (whatever you call it) sandwhich that features thick french toast and turkey, ham and Swiss (or if you ask, provolone)--they give you rasberry jelly to dip it in and it is fantastic for a tasty lunch! The simple verdict is, like Chicken Out replacing some of the Boston Chickens in our area, I'd perfer Bennigan's to some of the chains around here.

I like this place. The pub-like atmosphere is really nice and the service I've received has always been top-notch. The menu has a variety of offerings and I'm sure that everyone can find something they like. My personal recommendation is that you go here for lunch and not supper. The lines in the evenings are terrible. However, if you don't mind waiting, you will be well rewarded.

Great pub atmosphere. Good food, reasonably fast service, don't attempt to go on a weekend evening, you'll be in for a long wait. Good luck finding a parking space, even with the new garage you'll need to bring your walking shoes.

I found this place to be enjoyable. The garlic smashed potatoes were quite tasty. Prices were reasonable. The service was good. The dining atmosphere was hip and friendly. I would recommend this to all for a nice casual dining experience.

Great for going out. Sandwiches are average, but a huge variety available. Meals are served very fresh but are still average. When in search of a simple meal, average atmosphere, but decent service, Bennigan's is nice.
