To this day, my wife and I recall Hot Licks as one of the best places anywhere to get ice cream. All their ice cream is home made and has all the fat and calories missing from store-bought frozen desserts (along with the taste). My wife's favorite is the cinnamon ice cream. The only down-side is that the shop is located near the University, so it gets crowded in the evenings with all the students preferring it as a hang-out. Heartily recommended! YES!!! We now have hotlicks in Anchorage! This place is great! Their ice cream is perfect consistency and their flavor ideas are really creative. Well worth a stop!

Wow this is the best place in the world for ice cream they have every flavor you can think of. This place has a wait for ice cream but waiting in line is well worth it all, as u meet new people while you are waiting. Also there cones are homemade which is even better.

Hot Licks is an awesome little icecream place.Managed to come across it while on a trip, to Fairbanks.They have a good selection, i would have to say it would be an ice cream lover choice of place.

This place is terrific. I grew up in Fairbanks and can remember coming here since i was five. If you like Ice Cream you have to go here. The Ice cream is home made and the taste of home made cannot be beat.

The BEST ICE CREAM you can buy. Lots of unique and classic flavors. Homemade cones. Always crowded but always worth the lines. I love the black walnut ice cream and they make awesome shakes. And now they offer their ice cream in local grocery stores as well.

Offering several new flavors of their homemade ice cream every day, this outdoor ice cream shop only open in the summertime is surrounded by a crowd every minute. With two order windows and a seperate pick up window, their service is pretty fast but that again is dependent on how large the gathered crowd is. I reccomend the waffle cones, they're made fresh daily as well.
