My meal here several weeks ago was delicious and priced so low that it
was surprising. ( B.T.W. They offer a "blue hair special"
from 5:30 to 7:00 weeknights that is unreal - 3 course Fixe Prix for $15.50!!!)
Menu changes daily. They buy what is fresh in the market and prepare
that night. Wines are Frech and reasonably priced.

I'm shocked that there hasn't been a review for this gem of
a place for the past 6 years on this website!
This is as authentic a French Bistro that you are going to find
in California. The owners are Parisienne and they love what they do
at their little restaurant.

Dining room is small comfy and cute. French roadhouse & Paris memorabilia
adorn the walls.
Come practice your french. Eat delicious food, drink good wine, pay
little money and be happy!

Not being from the San Francisco area, we were thrilled to discover this fabulous little gem last September. This was our second visit to Christophes. Having lived in Provence for threeyears, the ambience of a real French restaurant is very rare inAmerica, and I believe I have found that in Christophes. All ofthe appetizers are wonderful, however the Duck salad (Confit duCanard) and the Brie en Chemise would be my recommendation tofirst time visitors. As for the main course, a decision is almost impossible to make from the wonderful prix fixe menu, and to make your decision even harder, they offer several wonderfulspecials each evening. For this particular visit my main coursewas one of the specials, Rabbit with Sauce Provencale. My girlfriend had the Noisette d'agneau, for the second time, and was equally impressed. The rabbit and the lamb we both found perfectand the Chateau Neauf du Pape which we chose as our wine, complimented both dishes excellently. Moving to dessert, I ch ...

I first went to Christophe's in August, and I have gone back at
least once a month since then. The best advice I can give to any-
one who wants to try Christophe's is to make a reservation.
The restaurant fills quickly, and unfortunately, walk-ins cannot
be seated.
The early bird special at $12.50 is hard to beat, yet I was still
a bit hungry after I finished. The smoked salmon is probably the
best I have ever had, and the lamb was outstanding. I also can
recommend the pork, the chicken in wine sauce, the baked brie,
the duck, and the sausage salad.
The desserts are all great especially the creme brulee, and they
have my vote for best restaurant coffee.
Christophe's is a great value for money, and the staff is always
friendly and helpful. This a good restaurant for a romantic
evening. Usually after dinner, we drive up to the Marin Headlands
to enjoy the view of San Francisco if it is not too foggy.
Enjoy!

Very small place and quite crowded. But the food was great. The
bread served while we waited for our meal was rather bland and
perhaps a touch stale. The salmon appetizer was fabulous! The
salad was tasty - wonderful tarragon vinegrette. My entree was a
hanger steak in a congac green peppercorn sauce. It was good, but
my SO says that the ostrich he ordered was better. I did not taste
his so I can't verify the comparison. Our dinner companions also
enjoyed their meals. The duck breast in orange ginger glaze got
very good reviews. As did the creme brulee for dessert. The
chocolate mousse was very good as well. The best part, though, was
the appetizer. Yummy
There is an early bird special of one appetizer, salad, entree, and
dessert for $12.75 if you're seated by 6 PM. Later than that the
price goes up to $20. Overall the restaurant is a bit expensive for
anything short of a special occasion, but very nice.

Christophe's has been one of my favorite Bay Area restaurants
since I moved to Marin in 1984. Most people drive right by
it on their way to the center of Sausalito. The seafood is
always excellent, the profiteroles dessert is killer!

As a resident of Sausalito, I often visit Christophe
Restaurant to relax and enjoy one of the best meals in
Marin County. I often take advantage of the $12.50
Early Bird Special which includes appetizer, soup, entree,
and dessert, but also like to order from the ala carte
menu.
Owner Gerald Mauranges and his staff never fail to impress
with a winning combination of atmosphere, service, and
food and wine selection. I believe we regular clientele,
rather than talk up the joys of dining at Christophe,
would prefer that it remain an undiscovered treasure.
So, if you must, give it a try but don't come too often -
we'd hate to wait in line for our favorite table.

A french guy who timeshares my boat took me here. If you
come for the first sitting (before 6:30) they have a great
fixed price complete menu (~$20). The staff & plurality
of the clientele are french. I've gone a couple of times
since with a larger crowd & we ordered one of each of
most of the specials & shared. Everything was great.
