Wonderful tastes of India from the nan to the tandoori. The wait staff
is wonderful educating you on the food with a selection of mild, medium,
and hot curries. Perfect for any night of the week. The beer selection
is good along with the Chai.

Sizzling tandoor has been an icon of santa rosa for 20 years now. new
owners have transformed the place worth visiting. Like little India
or bollywood in wine country. very good authentic fresh food at affordable
prices. amazing lightening service and ambiance words cannot describe.
Destination.... & yes it is Indeed a Culinary Nirvana There! *****

I love the tandoori chicken: spiced just right and the meat falls off
the bone! I should explore the rest of the menu but it seems I cant get
enough of the chicken.

Wonderful Indian food in downtown Santa Rosa. It is hard to find
Indian restaurants in general, and good ones in particular.
This place normally hits the spot, with a nice selection of flavorful
sauces and preparation styles. It actually ranks as one of my
favorite Indian places. The Nan bread is particularly good,
made fresh on the spot. You can't get bread any fresher than this.
Frequently I find this place nearly empty, so I wonder how they
stay in business. The service is usually good, but not overly
warm and friendly. I prefer ordering dishes, over the buffet,
which I have tried a few times. I like it better when everything
is freshly cooked. There is also a Sizzling Tandoor located on
the coast in Jenner, which I believe is owned by the same family.
The food there is also wonderful.

The place is nicely lit and looks like a real restaurant. Never
had the dinner but you can get a great lunch buffet for $6.99. If
you like indian food this is right in the middle of downtown.

well prepared and very nicely presented muglhai style indian food. tends to be very unecessarily overpriced at dinner time. i've eaten in nicer indian restaurants and payed about 10 to 15% less than what comes up on the bill here.that said, everything i've experienced is handled with wonderful care. tandoori dishes are exquisite as are the rotis(breads) try the garlic and cilantro nan or the aloo paratha. another favorite is the chicken tikka and bainghan bharta.
