Last year Stone's Cafeteria adopted a sports bar approach
(see USA Today- http://www.usatoday.com/travel/destinations/2005-08-25-downhome-virginia-detours_x.htm)
and is now Stone's Backyard Grille and Tavern. The Buffet
is gone for lunch, it is menu only now. The sandwiches were good,
but the pies everyone used to brag on were no where to be seen.

The price have went up slightly, but the food and service remain
just as great. Great atmosphere.

The salad with grilled chicken or without will run you about $5.
Stone's has a great breakfast bar (better than Shoney's, if you
like country cooking). Some of the staff have worked there for
20 years or more, and this restaurant is a fine place for seniors
to have lunch and dinner due to their specials. Very busy at lunch,
though. Don't miss their coconut cream pie, or their strawberry
pie, or their Boston Cream pie!
