This "Inn" was not someone's home but was an "Inn" way back when. Pub, bar and a few rooms for travelers to "bunk" for the night. Then up in the morning to catch the train right outside. Atomsphere is great. Old floors and the dark wood tavern make it a jewel of a find. The tavern fare is true old english style with Bangers n' Mash, Plouhman's lunch and Fish and Chips with vinegar. Burgers, salads and such can be found as well but the secret is the dinner entree's. Wow! Awesome, homemade Tomatoe soup......there are no words to describe the taste, texture or incredients. This is NOT out of a can. A silky consistancy, with chunks of tomatoes and wonderful floating croutons. If you want to try other things, you must at least have a cup to start. The grilled salmon with curried mashed potatoes are devine! They have great steaks, pasta dishes and chicken and the specials are so tempting it may take along time to order. This restaurant is in an old home, the owners claim the place is haunted by ghosts. It's like an old pub, food is ok, there is a patio open in the summer, they usually have entertainment on the weekends.
