This place must be a staple in Athens, so many people go there. Well...there
is a reason, it is good. I was impresed, very good food and nice atmosphere.
I did not find alot of really great restraunts on my trip there recently.
I love this place, definitely one of the places I would recommend to
visitors. The breadsticks are addictive and worth the wait. Service
can be slow but if I want quick I go to McDonalds. Try the seafood Charmaine
- my favorite, spicy, original and again, addictive.

A fun place. Their walnut gorgonzola salad is great. And their
calzones are excellent, if greasy.
I know people who travel four hours (round trip) about once a month
to eat at De Palma's. Once I finally made it, I couldn't
see why, except that they were from a small town that really didn't
have much of anything. But the food is quite good, and reasonably
priced. The service was slow, but I was there with a beautiful
woman AND they played an entire Dr. John album (one of my favorites--'Anutha
Zone'), so no complaints about the wait. Good wine selection,
too.
In the mood for a long Italian dinner? Don't go here on a blind
date if you don't have anything to talk about. People watching
at a minimum but privacy can be good. The food is good and usually
worth the wait.

Once one of faves in Athens, Depalma's just isn't what
it used to be...we've had a lot more misses than hits on the
last few visits, and the level of service is not anything like
what it used to be.

Great restaurant to go to for lunch or dinner. Their wine selection
is great as well as their service. The small cozy atmosphere accommodates
an intimate dining experience. The menu has a great selection
but my favorite is the mushroom/spinach calzone.
I've had some pretty poor service here before. The entrees I've
had have been kind of hit or miss, but the meat and cheese breadsticks
and the Zuppa for dessert are fabulous.
Best Italian place in town.
Appetizers and calzones are incredibly delicious, not to mention
the breadsticks. But be patient, the kitchen is really slow.
