Mexico Tipico Restaurant

Not sure how the other reviewer could give 3 starts when clearly everything was positive. While this is not a 5 star restaurant, everything was very good so I'd give it 4 1/2 stars. Decor was average, service was friendly. They didn't have the typical combination plate options as I have had at every other Mexican restaurant I have ever been to so that was odd so I had to order a plate which has chili relleno, cheese enchilada and a beef taco (which I asked to not get as I am a vegetarian) my hubby ordered the plate w/ 3 enchiladas which were small so it really only equaled 3 at most. The chips were fresh and very good w/ a very yummy and not too spicy salsa. They do not use lard in their re-fried beans which is great! My dish was large and filling. The enchi sauce was paprika based which was a nice change. Came w/ all the traditional sides and they were all tasty. Pretty large chili relleno and not greasy as they sometimes can be. Overall a very good option considering how many Mexican restaurants they are to choose from in Indio. We'd go back again if we had the chance. less
