After traveling to Italy and creating most of the recipes from the Silver Spoon, I must say I am quite disappointed with Zio's. The food is mediocre and the portions are large. Bread comes to the table as a hot, hard loaf and served with herbed oil. I do think this is a nice place to take children- fun environment and food that picky children would enjoy. I just feel there is much better Italian found at the Oive Garden, and that is very sad. If you want Italian in Springfield, the Olive Garden is your better bet. The wine is much better at the Olive Garden as well. less

My wife and I have eaten here often and also, have taken our visiting families here. The food, atmosphere, staff and service is excellent. Today we were served by Nicole, and my wife and I thought that she is just absolutely great. Her sweet personality, helpfulness and attention was the best. We enjoyed our dinner very much, and Nicole made the evening a super experience. She is a 'keeper'. less

Its nice to find a good place to eat and this is one. The menu is full of great food and they have a nice seafood menu. One dish is CHICKEN PEPPERONI, I know that sounds strange but it is great!!! They have a good little wine list and the price is right! Staff is on the ball and makes for a nice meal. The open cooking area is fun to keep a eye on, all in all this is a good place for everyone, the kids too. less
