This is one of the most worse restaurant I had ever been in many years. The food is not as good as many of the Chinese restaurant, yet quite pricie. The part pisses me off is the flyer is sting on the same food they served to the people. The attitude of the waitress is rude and unfriendly. I give this place a thumb down. less

There are many restaurants named YEN CHING's.
My absolute favorite is Yen Ching's in Orange, CA.
I was surprised to find an extremely good restaurant in FRESNO. (Well, there is a large Asian Community there - maybe I should not be so surprised).
This place is unusual in that it has both Lunch and Dinner buffets. The buffet is HUGE by Chinese Buffet standards: 40-60 different items, running the gammot from classic American desserts to Japanese Sushi (??) and of course, lots of Chinese food.
Pot Stickers, paper wrapped chicken, candied pineapple, candied yams, hot and sour soup were excellent. All the standard orange flavored beef and chicken dishes - these are also very good.
Fried shrimp is not fresh - they were clearly frozen breaded shrimp akin to what you see at Sizzler during "all you can eat shrimp" days. Not good, but this is not an issue, as there are lots of other things to eat in the buffet.
Typical buffet lunch or dinner will hit you for $6.95 for lunch, $7.95 for dinner. Very affordable.
Standard menu items are, of course, also available at Yen Ching.
Restrooms could use some grafitti eradication, but they were undeniably sanitary and thoroughly chlorinated. It was nice to see an old restaurant that still respects the customer's experience. All too many older restaurants have dilapidated facilities. These people seem to take pride in the food they prepare, the service they provide, and the cleanliness of the facility.
