I think it must be very hard to survive as a grandfathered restaurant now adays. Yanuzzi's has stayed steady over the past years. The prices have not increased all that much, only about 1.00-2.00 per dish depending on which dish you order in the past ten years. The atmosphere is quaint, old world and yes most places could use some upgrading. Yanuzzi's however did do some redecorating and made some changes that to some may seem minor, but have you been to Mangilardo's? Have you been to Nochi's? Need I say more? Yanuzzi's is one of my families favorite restaurants. The Fetuchini Alfredo is my husband's and my Father-In-Law's favorite dish, not to mention my Sister-In-Law's favorite, while I favor the butterflied filet minon...mmm with mushrooms. Kudo's to Mike and the family. We are dining there tonight! less

Dont put it down then go there for dinner after telling the world you didnt like it or its too expensive? What price do you think a dinner should be for a main course, a salad, a side and rolls or garlic bread? eat for dinner that is any less? or better? On Saturday night three generations of my family ate at Yanuzzi...not for the first time.... Dinner was excellent. I had a salad followed by lasagna and though I have a bit of a sweet tooth ( ok a bit is a lie!) I had to forego dessert totally I was just too full! My only upset was the long wait despite reservations. And I will agree with the reviewer who thought the wine list was inappropriate for the age and style of this restuarant... it could stand upgrading and with all the excellent wineries so close, this should not be difficult. All in all I would definitely recommend this restaurant less

The wine listy was deplorable for a restaurant in this day and age. I must be fair though, the steak was to my liking and rather inexpensive, but the quality was there. However without a decent wine it was hardly worth the cost. For this restaurant to call itself Italian-American and have no other Italian items on the menu other than those drowned in red sauce is a question I will ponder forever. less

This is a great Italian restaurant. The marinara sauce is outstanding. I tried the Home-made spaghetti with meat balls. The large order was much more than I could eat. This spaghetti (actually hand crafted tagliatelle or wide linguine) was tender and delicious. Cooked al dente, it was served with tennis ball sized meatballs. What a meal! I coupled it with an individual antipasto - a nice selection of Italian meats and cheese, along with pickled peppers and fresh veges. The meal also came with garlic bread, made from fresh, crusty Italian bread. Excellent! Yanuzzi's is not much to look at on the outside, but don't be fooled. Great food awaits you on the inside. After you get past the smoky bar (which has beer, wine and spirits), the dining room is nicely decorated. The waitstaff is attentive but not overbearing, and nicely dressed. They lend almost a formal atmosphere to this family restaurant. All were attractive, conversant and helpful in answering questions concerning the menu. Yanuzzi's also serves more than traditional Italian food. They have nice steaks, chops, veal specialties and seafood. It is a little hard to find, but worth the search. The best Italian food in the area, for my money! less
