The atmosphere is very cool, but I would say they need to offer weekend diners the same access to their lunch menu, that they offer their business customers during the week. If going to lunch there on the weekend, I would recommend either the clam chowder, a burger, a steak sandwich or an appetizer. Otherwise, it is way too expensive for lunch and the prices even seem a little high for dinner. less

I love the interesting decor: old street signs, lamp posts, a large bath tub right at the front full of fresh rosted peanuts, pictures all around (photos as well as prints), a million and one knick kacks all over even hanging from the ceiling. The food is ok, you are better off getting the apetizers, I didn't care for any of the entrees I have had. The bar is a fun place, drinks are so so. Great place to be on a hot summer night...it overlooks the east river, wonderful view of Man. less

Any Restaurante that uses cloth napkins is an immediate plus. Portions were ample and the food very tasty. The atmosphere was peaceful except, being Sunday afternoon, some children were running around (but not very noisilly). ... more

The atmosphere was peaceful except, being Sunday afternoon, some children were running around (but not very noisilly).
Other than a slightly high price for an out of the way place, I highly recommend it.
