The food is wonderful.....they can really turn out all fish dishes with great success. Other entrees are very good as well, but they really do fish well. Valet parking outside of Buckhead/Dunwoody/Sandy Springs is a bit much. There are tons of parking spaces everwhere....why valet. Anyhow, great food! less

My wife took me out to Van Gogh's on my birthday last nigh and for the most part I was pleasantly surprised. I had the Smoked Salmon with Feta and Artichoke Tortolini and it was delicious except for being a bit too salty. It was better than the Smoked Salmon I have had in Alaska and on a par with the best I have had in Seattle, which is renowned for its Salmon dishes. My wife had the Rosemary Lamb. Although it was quite good it did not reach our standards for Lamb since my wife makes the best lamb either of us have ever eaten anywhere. My only real complaint is that the restaurant seems a bit pretentious, particularly the valet parking in a lot whose furthest parking spot is no more than 15 yards from the front door! Still, it rates 4 stars in my book. less

Whether you"re a relativist or an absolutist Van Gogh's is among the best. A classy relaxed atmosphere leads only to great food. Most dishes rate among the top in Atlanta. Not afraid to flavor the finest ingredients with savory spicing, the chef/owners have established a new baseline that any restaurant would do well to meet. The peppered sashimi tuna salad (you'll have to ask for the wasabi) is simply fantastic. Grilled rosemary marinated lamb tenderloin is the best lamb presentation and taste in Atlanta. The carpaccio and the fried calamari cannot be topped anywhere. Veal porterhouse, as a special, would deserve a turn on the regular menu at any fine restaurant. A huge fairly priced wine list with a large selection by the glass allows any diner to enjoy a fine wine with their meal. With over-sized portions of everything, one will be hard pressed to enjoy any one of a number of excellent desserts, such as tiramisu, and you will leave satisfied that your time and money were well spent! less
