I give Tuccis two stars, not because of the food. The food here is wonderful. Really great meals, especially now that they have changed their pricing to be slightly more competetive. I've been to the one in Sandy -- Jordan Commons a few times. The service there is TERRIBLE. Horrendous. Insulting. Worse than being yelled at at home by your wife for not helping out with dinner at home. I've been there several times, and the service is never that great, but one night in particular.. was awful. I haven't been back since... We got in and got seated OK. Waited forever for our waitress to take our order. After about 30 minutes, two other tables started receiving their orders, and they came in, were seated, AND ordered AFTER we did. We complained, and they apologized and said that one of their chefs had just quit and things were bad. After another 30 minutes, getting frustrated, but trying to be understanding, we complained politely about the service and lack of food. Another 15 minutes goes by, with no offers to make things right, etc, still no food. We asked to see the manager. The manager skipped us and went and apologized to one of the other tables! One of the tables that came in after us and was just finishing their meal! By this time, we had had it and were just getting up to leave as they arrived with our food. I explained to them that I was no longer interested in eating it due to the absolute lack of service or sympathy for their customers. The hostesses happened to overhear the conversation and sympathized with us. They seemed genuinely on our side and frustrated that we were so kind, yet treated so rudely by the rest of the staff. No one offered one thing to make things right, and I will never spend a dime at any of the Slaymaker restaurants again. less
