My wife and I often go to the Gateway . They have Great food, but on sunday July 9, 2006 we were not happy with the way the hostess treated us.we were next to be seated and she took two other parties before us.Italked to her and told her that the sign said wait to be seated.But she was ignoring her own rules.people were walking past the sign and she did nothing. Had a great time here with the family. DIning room is through the bar. On summer evenings it is nice to sit out back on the deck, overloooking the river. The food was tasty american fair, nothing exotic, but the portions were more than ample. I had the grilled Salmon nicely done, with the fish still moist. My wife had a burger, thick juicy and lots of toppings, just the way she likes it. My son didn't want his usual chicken fingers and french fries, the waiter made him a pb & J, above and beyond, and his tip reflected it. Good Food, Good Time! less

A great seletion of American food from burgers, staeks, chicken and seafood. A huge selection of appertizers to choose from (the Nacho Supreme with Chili was great). The resturant is a seat yourself and you do walk through the Tavern to get to the resturant area. A bit smokey if you sit to close to the bar area and also as you walk in. The waitresses are frieendly and the service was good. Dress is casual and there is a big screen TV in the dining area. I feel that you get a good portion of food for your money. The taste and quality is also good. less
