This is one of my favorite places, and it's conveniently close to where I live, which makes it even nicer! If you avoid the busy times, it's even better, although waiting in the bar or the chairs near the entrance is not too much of a hardship. ... more

This is one of my favorite places, and it's conveniently close to where I live, which makes it even nicer! If you avoid the busy times, it's even better, although waiting in the bar or the chairs near the entrance is not too much of a hardship. I have never had to wait long, even when the restaurant is crowded. The hostesses, waiters, etc are always friendly, knowledgeable, and extremely accommodating. The Jack Daniels grill items are excellent. I especially enjoy the salmon, but have also ordered from other parts of the menu and was always very satisfied. The french onion soup is great - practically a meal in itself. The side dishes (steamed vegetables, fries, salads, etc.) were all as good as the food. The drinks are large (VERY!) and also quite good. My favorite drink is a mixed one, and it's not always done correctly. At TGIF's, it's always been perfect. TGIF's is a great place for kids, families, couples, friends. I absolutely recommend it. less

New "guestcheck" seating sytem alerts you when your table is ready.
** Bonus: Many NJ Devils hangout here as their practice rink is not far.

Well, after all these years I finally ate at a TGI Fridays with my family of five. Personally I thought the price was a little steep (the bill was was $114, not including tip), and the filet mignon was a little small. Despite that, the food was excellent and included some great appitizers like quesadillas, jalepeno poppers and buffalo wings. All in all I can't complain about the price because we had a great time and the staff even got together for a happy birthday thingee for the twins. Really a fun place to go. less
