Our work crowd goes out of our way to come here every few weeks. I never even looked at a menu, all we ever order is the Kung Pao shrimp, which I suspect is the same as the dry braised prawns mentioned by others. Lots of flavor. When I look around, everyone seems to be eating the same thing, the shrimp. It is one star for atmosphere and four to five stars for this one dish, but it is great enough for me to think of it often and keep coming back. less

I have to disagree with the two previous reviews. The food was uninspiring, the taste normal. The food wasn't actively bad in any way, but if I were going out of my way to eat a restaurant, I'd probably go to many of the other fine Chinese restaura ... more

I have to disagree with the two previous reviews. The food was uninspiring, the taste normal. The food wasn't actively bad in any way, but if I were going out of my way to eat a restaurant, I'd probably go to many of the other fine Chinese restaurants, some of them even on the same B Street such as China Bee. Yes, I did like the fact that the shop was a two-man operation with one cook making everything in a wok, but that didn't make up for the so-so food. less

I agree with Ms. Gonzalo. The restaurant used to be a coffee shop with a counter and about a dozen stools in the front. The cook (I don't know his name either) cooks behind the counter and is a lot of fun to watch - Woks flying everywhere. Tom gives great service and knows the regulars. There are about 8 small tables. The dry braised prawns are excellent-cooked with fresh brocoli. My other favorite dish is the Szechuan Beef. Stir-fry beef with onions, and some other stuff that's good. I learned about this place by asking a cop on the beat where to eat -- they know. These guys deserve your patronage. less
