I eaten at Steves a few times, but after reading the previous review, I don't think I will again. Breakfast was okay, coffee cups are small. Service was ok. Had the New York strip steak, the first time it was great. The second time, the steak was mostly grizzle. And grilled onions on the steak are considered a side order. less

Steve's Diner is an okay place to get a fairly decent meal at a reasonable price. Nothing really to write home about. In my opinion, their fried chicken dinner (you get four pieces) is the best thing on their menu. I tried their spaghetti, but think I will stick to Valentino's when I have a hunger for pasta dishes. Some things at Steve's could stand for change. For instance, last time while I was waiting for a carry-out order, I watched through the window in the swinging double doors as the cook stuck his finger in someone's food and then stuck it in his mouth. I think he sampling someone's mashed potato gravy (hope it wasn't mine). Anyway, I thought his action was unsanitary to say the least. Another issue I had with Steve's is that a teenage cashier was carrying on a personal telephone conversation while I waited patiently to pay my dining check. She just let me stand there and wait for about five minutes while she carried on and giggled with whoever was on the other end. Finally, an older waitress came up to her and motioned for her to get a move on. Other than those two things and the fact that their bathrooms needing some cleaning and enlarging, I guess this place is okay every now and then. less
