Went for a late super at Steve's on July 5 2009 at about 7:00 pm. The wife and I both ordered the special Hot Turkey sandwich. It took quite a while to get the food considering that it was a special item and it was not that busy. When the food finally got to us I thought that we had the wrong order, instead of having turkey gravy, it was beef gravy, but I lifted the bread to see that yes it was turkey between the slices. That wouldn't have bin bad if the gravy was good, but it was a beef bouillion base, which ruined the sandwich and any of the fries it was touching. For a restaurant the boasts about homemade style food they sure missed the mark on something simple. I love coleslaw, but steve's missed the mark there too. There are only two good things I have to say. 1. I'm glad I only paid the special price of $5.99 instead of the $9.99 reg. price. 2. The homemade fries were cooked to perfection, so half of the meal was good. Sorry Steve not feeling the love and it will take a quite a while before I darken your doorstep again. Open the door and step back in time the decor including neon lights and jukebox playing all the favorites of the fifties. <br> Very relaxing atmosphere, friendly, courteous staff.
